These poets share a sense of natural scenery of nature and understand the deep empathic voices and struggle of human struggle through there own perspective. So I wanted to communicate the humanity and earthly nature of the unbounded landscapes of poetry.
Sketches
These rough sketches are a way to warm up my inspiration and imagination. While drafting for possible direction that can reflect these poets values and message.
typography photo study
In the classroom, we did these photographic typographic study to understand the visual attributes and helps brainstorm a message that relates to the poets. This type study include bending, mashing, warping, and manipulation of light.
Digital iteration
Following my sketches and typographic study, iterating a message of making the unseen finally seen. Made me slowly understand the diagonal alignment of the typography and entwining the poets name with the word unbound
Refinements
The layout the type is starting to be visually satisfying and use the primary colors to have a familiar feeling. The circles enhances of the design because it contrasted with the bold text. The background needed more iteration.
Final
The teacher recommended to look at wooden type and to simplify the other shape elements. So the final has desaturated bright colors while using the dynamic angles to make visual more appealing.
